First baby brain moment

It totally feels like an out-of-body experience for me the last few weeks. And especially with a cold. I'm normally quite intelligent - seriously LOL! Last week, I thought I'd squeeze in my last home visit before having lunch. It was super busy and my poor belly was rumbling like mad all morning (I stuff my face in my car in between visits but we know that's not enough). I pull into my client's driveway and knock on the door. This caucasian lady answers the door (my client's Chinese and it normally would be a Chinese home support worker answering the door). Her dog (the size of Mylo) was trying to jump up on me and the lady's holding him back while I'm trying to pet him, "Hello, Sweetie." So I let myself in and shut the door behind me. She looks at me. I look at her and asked, "I've never met you before. Are you a friend?" She's still looking at me and not introducing herself so I quickly told her, "Oh I'm Eve, the home care nurse." She says, "who are you here to see?" I paused for a second and let out a "I'm in the the wrong house aren't I? OMG, I'm SO SORRY." I quickly let myself out but was hesitant to leave at the same time because I still couldn't believe that I was in the wrong home!!

That has got to be the most embarrassing thing I've ever done. I've knocked on the wrong door before but those people never let me IN their homes. I can't imagine what this lady could've been thinking. To top it off, her loyal protector was licking my hand LOL instead of barking at me.

I've shared - now it's your turn:). Come on - you can blame it on the baby! LOL. I need a good laugh to forget about my nausea;).

I've had some baby brain moments, but none like yours! But one thing you may want to try for your nausea is Reed's Extra Ginger Brew. I buy mine at a health foods store. It worked like a charm for me during my very nauseous pregnancy--I was so nauseous that I didn't gain any weight until my 2nd trimester.

That is the best baby brain moment I've heard. I'm 23 weeks pregnant with my first and I am totally going through the same thing. My co-workers make fun of me all the time...in a nice, loving way. :) I had this thing called Quease Ease that I was given after having my gallbladder out that helped with my nausea. I looks like a mascara tube and you just smell it. I can't figure out the exact smell, but it worked wonders. You can find them online. Congrats!!

Oh no!! lol! I think the daftest thing I did while pregnant was, I made myself a cup of (decaf) coffee and poured myself a bowl of cereal. I then got the milk out to add to both coffee and cereal. I put milk in my coffee then carefully poured the COFFEE all over the cereal......

oh you poor thing! I hate to admit it, but it made me laugh. That is so funny!!!!

My baby brain moment that sticks out the most....I was on my way to work and realized I forgot my son at home in bed sleeping....but don't be alarmed, cause he was visiting with his father. LOL, the panic I went through in those 3 seconds before I remembered my son wasn't at home. LOL

I can't remember, it was so long ago, but whatever it was, I'm sure it wasn't as funny as your experience.

that is the cutest story ever!

When I was pregnant with my lovely little lady I forgot EVERYTHING. My husband would tell me something and two seconds later it would be gone. he would be looking at me waiting for an answer, a response, anything and I would just stand there smiling thinking to myself, "How nice that he's so focused on me!"

:) yay for pregnancy.

hahaha girl, get used to it, cause this is YOU from now on. and don't think it will be over AFTER you've given birth. i strongly believe i've last a few (or a lot as others say) brain cells during pregnancy & giving birth. now, how's that for a lovely positive story? ha.

my most brain moment was constantly forgetting where i had parked my car, to find out, after half an hour searching through the parking lot with a HUGE belly carying along, i was on my bike. geesh. i wonder what people must have thought seeing me walking round after round after round LOL.

but cliche: it's alllll worth it! LOVE that pic of you!

I definitely had these with both pregnancies. I remember with B I put milk away in the pan cabinet where hubby found it later. I actually did a post on this in my last pregnancy, found here: http://athomewiththerichardsfamily.blogspot.com/2009/03/pregnancy-brain.html

I'm 7 weeks pregnant with my second baby and I'm starting to lose my brain. The other morning I was styling my hair in the mirror, I sprayed hairspray on my fringe and somehow forgot to shut my eyes. Ouch! I won't do that again in a hurry! :D

Haha...lol...that story is priceless! I'm sure your baby will get such a laugh hearing about that moment once he/she is all grown up. Too cute.

things I did while being pregnant.
