studio update and giveaway

Love looking at this neat area as soon as I make my way down the last few steps of the staircase leading down to my studio.

Studio is almost all tidied up. I just have to figure out what I'm going to do with all my scrap paper. Maybe just give it all away to my MIL's friend's grandkids to play with? And just get a fresh start in accumulating more:). Then there's the Christmas stuff...think I told you that I ordered/collected enough stuff to make 200 Christmas art journals but only ended up making 140 because of my feeling crappy. Maybe I'll put together little baggies of these items and list them for a good price just to get it out of my space. That'll be later though. Got too much restocking to do.

Bought more fabric to make more Sew Grateful kits. I thought the last batch was going to be it but there's still a few of you out there who want more. They'll be back in shop soon - thanks for being patient:).

Been sitting on the couch a lot and just taking it easy but feeling too good to sit still still so have been sewing like mad. These were done within the last week or so heehee.

Plan for next week or two:
-order remainder items for Escape Art Journal and make a few more
-put together some Valentines items (just a few)
-start working on restocking some other kits
-put together a new art journal:)

Giveaway: Have you been contemplating on making your own journals lately but undecided on what kind to make? I would love to share the Coptic journal PDF tutorial with one lucky winner if you haven't gotten it already. If you already have it, you can still enter and if you win, you can pick 3 Evalicious embellishments instead:).

Let's see...I've started at least 8 or more so random journals, scrapbooks, etc. And a few cards! My husband was "deployed" down to Haiti after the earthquake so I'm left with A LOT more free time than I've had in awhile and I need to figure out how to fill it!

It's hard to be uber crafty with work and school, but . . . I finished three cards the other day and am working on a December mini-book (not daily because the idea of doing that seems daunting to me right now).

I FINALLY finished a mini book from Christmas and will be starting Valentine's cards this week :)

Your newly revamped space looks so cosy. WTG Eddie! I just want to bring a few things over and make cards :)

I have done 5 lo's, 3 mini books, 4 cards, 2 photograph/gifty books for my sisters and a 5x7 cabinet card frame thing for inside a picture frame I had broke the glass.

Glad to see you are feeling a bit more energy! OH PS Craigslist is a great spot for baby gear. I bought a bumbo, Chariot Cheetah Jog stoller and a BRAND NEW Baby Bjorn for CHEAP!

Thank you for the awesome giveaway!

Hi! I have read your blog for some time now and I just love it. You are very creative!
About my scrap projects... I think I have never done one but I am so inspired to start with it. So far I have done some journals as gifts.
This January has been hard for me because of my first trimester pregnancy (you know how it is :-) ) but now things are getting better and I will start with a project soon... I hope.

Ms_Pea said...

Well, I haven't accomplished anything crafty in the New Year yet, but would love to win some of your embellishments to get me motivated! :-)

Love the idea of making little bags for sale from the remainings :)

I started with crafts quite recently so I made 2 mini photo albums, 2 plain journals and a couple of granny squares so far. And also a pocket photo album (which could be considered 'scrap project' :)).

Thanks for the opportunity!

i love your work space!:)
i guess i made at list 3 new projects.. wish i had more time!:)

Love neat and tidy scrap spaces! I'm not showing you mine lol - it's pretty much the opposite of neat and tidy... ;-)

Scrap projects? This year I've made the final 2 pages of my JYC scrapbook and decorated the cover; made 2 pages for challenges; made a mini-book; created a sample of a project I'm doing for a class next week - and played with an awful lot of stash!! Plus I've been doing Project 365 so some of my creative time has gone into organising those photos. Oh, and Scrap Your Day! I began that in January so I did a double layout with 25 photos for that. Um.... I *think* that's everything!

Joanne said...

well..."made" is relative term I guess since I think it denotes "finished"! I've got lots started though. Hug to Mylo...glad to hear that you are feeling so much better.

Michelle*G said...

I made a few cards and one journal with my scraps. Still have a decent pile left, but at least I turn to it more often now when working on something...

Michelle said...

I have done 8 LO's and started my NYC mini album. Also made a camera strap cover....not a scrappy project, but a project none the less. LOL

Your studio is looking great, much better than the last pics you posted.....lol

{{hugs}} hope you feel better, and get some more energy. I was painfully tired during my pregnancy.

LOts!!! 25???30?? Maybe....I've been busy LOL :)

I've got a lot of projects going on - naturally when you're in the designteam of a shop and editor of a magazine there's always lots on my plate... But it's really fun.
I'd love to try a coptic binding so I really hope I'll win ;-)
And I can't wait for your new journals

So far this year I've completed 2.5 mini-books...and made a list of at least 6 more that I want to start right away :)

Your studio looks great - there's nothing better to spark inspiration than a clean, freshly organized studio!

I haven't done anything! Have bought enough supplies - some from you! - to have some fun projects though. It's so hard to find creativity. I wish you could bottle some of yours to get me started.

Karolynah said...

I've only made 1/2 of a journal and I'm still working on a mini book for a vacation. I looooove making little books but have no idea about binding. Would love to learn from your tutorial!
Thanks for the opportunity!

I've spent most of my creative time organizing zillions of photos, doing a photo lighting class, started a pen tablet class at JessicaSprague.com last night and will begin Stacy Julian's Library of Memories class in a couple of days but have managed to complete two altered clipboards and a Christmas present for next year (my plan is to do one, maybe two, a month and have all my handmade gifts finished by November). Also trying to fit in learning techniques for art journaling. FOCUS (my 2010 word) is my key.

One.
Sigh.
I had a bit of a slump in January after completing my 2009 December Daily. I just couldn't seem to get back into the groove.
But, I just finished the cutest little Valentine's Day cards for the kids to hand out at school and my creativity is restored.
Hallelujah!

To be honest, I have not completed a project yet this year. Like you, I have been RE organizing & cleaning my space. However, this always seems to motivate me. Thanks for the chance at the giveaway! I hope you & baby are feeling well!

Oh well, since my son was born on January 6th...I had not much time to scrap. I started making birthday cards for my family. I can't wait to get scrapping...got plenty of journaling done and plenty of pictures!

Sara said...

I would love to know how to make my own journals! I buy too many...lol.

Cate said...

This is totally pitiful, but all I've made so far this year is two cards. I'm on holidays next week and plan on scrapping a Valentine's album for my honey though! If I win, maybe i"ll make him a book instead!! :)

Tricia said...

I barely got in on this one! Phew! I knew when I didn't check yesterday there would be something new. I've done a few mini albums and finally finished my December daily (I made it out of your Christmas journal kit) and it looks amazing. I show it to everyone that comes to my house. Thank you!

Barbara said...

I have not done one; but I have several (lots) of projects set aside to put together/finish. Sigh!
