Christmas Accordion Mini Album | Inspiration

Hello! It's Michelle here to share a short Christmas mini-album. Yes, I am a little late with the Christmas crafting! I had so many things that I wanted to include in a Christmas album that I ended up feeling overwhelmed and kept putting it off. I decided to start small, and made an accordion-styled mini book to document some of my favorite photos and moments when my boyfriend came back to visit.

I like to layer, but it can be a little tricky working with a very small canvas. I used different textures like glitter, chipboard, and vellum to create depth. The Evalicious snipsnap labels were an easy way to add small details and clusters.

Another way to add embellishments in a small area is to use a pocket or envelope to create extra space. I placed my journaling tag inside a red pocket, and added a cluster of embellishments to the outside.

Again, I used different textures such as the doily, vellum, and patterned paper to add depth in my layers.

I placed my embellishment cluster in the bottom right corner with a vellum die cut, wood veneer, a badge, and a page tab. To balance out the page, I cut out a stamped image of the Evalicious "love you to pieces" stamp and added it to the top left corner.

I really loved using a combination of the snipsnap labels, badges, and page tabs as embellishment clusters. Opposite to the cluster, I added a hidden tag for my journaling.

Thanks for taking a look, I hope that you are inspired to use some of your Christmas goodies if you haven't already!

We'd love to see your work in our Evalicious Flickr pool here. We will be selecting a project that catches our eyes every few weeks and award the artist with a gift card code to spend in the shop!
