a little peek...

The new Evalicious Beginnings Baby Art Journal (I'm using mine as an 'Expecting Baby' journal)
cover comes with negative image of butterfly already sprayed on:). You'll also get some butterfly chipboard to play with too (ideas for use in print out that comes with kit).

kit includes handsewn transparency pocket with 'cherish' stamped on it for you to tuck photos/keepsakes inside :). Yes, the gray piece on the left is a die cut felt shape - each kit comes with one!

a handmade page with stamped birdie, masking tape and my handwritten words 'hey baby bird'

Our baby's future ride :). Yep, we're crazy and splurged on the Bugaboo Cameleon. Now we're broke :(.

Then there's the new Vintage Random Memories Art Journal for those of you who don't have babies in your lives at the moment. It's filled with lots of goodness featuring summer and vintagey things to document your everyday life.

All you'll need from your own stash is a black permanent journaling pen, a roll of plain masking tape, white acrylic paint/brush, white scrap cardstock, an alphabet rubber stamp set (if you have or just use your own handwriting) and your essentials.

Kit comes with this cool vintage ledger paper on right (shaped like a house).

Page made with goodies from kit :).

There's some cute embellies too :). Hope to see you Saturday, May 1st for the update! Gotta get back to work now. The house is looking really messy right now. Kit pieces everywhere.

I finished documenting my Week in the Life but then my stupid camera card lost a whole good chunk of my photos that I didn't get a chance to upload onto the computer. Will have to make decision on whether I want to redo my week or just stick with what I got a improvise. Good night!

week 33

Wow. I can't believe it's exactly 33 weeks tomorrow that this little being has been growing inside my belly. Where's the time gone? I felt like reminiscing about my pregnancy progress so went through my notes in my iphone and came across this entry dated Jan 15 (19 weeks):

Journaling reads: Felt you first move inside my belly about a week ago. I was sitting on the sofa and felt this loud purring on the left side of my lower belly. Then I felt you again last evening (at nanny's) but this time it was a softer purr. I was a bit doubtful that it was you and thought it might be my bowels but there you were again this morning while I was sitting at my desk at work. Another soft vibration. So sweet my baby. You're really bulging out my belly now and I've been feeling pretty good the last 2 weeks. Had a good cry a few nights ago cause I was feeling fat and uncertain about what how my body will react to this pregnancy. Silly hormones.

--------------------------

What's so funny is how Eddie has occasionally throughout the pregnancy commented that I'm doing so well - he says, " you're always so happy and cheery." But all I can remember were these moments where I bursted in tears and cried into his chest for no apparent reason other than I felt fat. LOL. Then there was the recent outburst that I found his family annoying all because they called while I was trying to nap - hey not my fault that I'm carrying around a good extra 35 lbs and feeling tired right? Another LOL. Thank goodness there's VERY FEW of these outbursts. Overall it's been good:).

You know the baby art journal that will be available real soon? I was just cutting up some of the papers for it and it inspired me to make this post. Yep, I'm using mine as an Expecting Baby journal. Can't wait to get these notes, photos and memorabilia into it :).

a week in the life

Ali Edwards is walking her blog readers through her Week in the Life album. I just got her journal cards & daily tabs over at Designer Digitals and picked up some baseball card sleeves as well and so excited to get started documenting my week as well. Thought tomorrow would be perfect to start because I only have to work at the health unit tomorrow and then I'm on vacation for 9 days before going back for another 2 more shifts. I'll have lots to do and hopefully lots to document. Also want to be able to look back on this coming week a few years from now and see what life was like before baby came along.

I made my first Week in the Life album back in 2005 at CKU Provo and loved documenting the process and then putting the album together in class was so much fun. Like Ali, I plan to keep it real simple this time too cause I have a shop update to prepare for!

Will you be joining in on the documentation of a week in your life?

another announcement

Sorry to disappoint but Next Shop Update has to be delayed to Saturday, May 1 because of a mix up with one of my wholesale orders. This is kinda positive in a way because it gives me a bit more time to make a few more cute embellishments:).

**************
Onto the announcement that I said I was gonna make in early April...

I got the privilege of doing an article for Somerset Memories (Spring 2010 issue) featuring my He Said She Said mini album. The article goes into how you can make a book like mine. This mini album kit & tutorial was originally released in my Etsy shop about a year ago but sold out. I've had requests to make more so I did :).

So happy to announce that it's back in stock too :). You can also find it here. The instructions go into more depth in my PDF tutorial with lots of colour photos. But if you have this issue and just want the kit, please email me.

next shop update

Hi you:). Just wanna let you know that my next shop update is April 17. There'll be 2 new art journals and hopefully some new embellies. The first photo shows the Evalicious mix flowers that'll come with my baby art journal. So springy and screams new life - LOVE!
Happy Easter everyone!
