Using Non-Scrapbooking Products | Tutorial

Hi everyone I hope you had a lovely weekend.   It's Vee here again to jump start the week with a quick tutorial!  One of my favorite products to use on my projects aren't scrapbook products at all but ephemera I collect from mail, notes from friends or other recycled packaging.

On this layout I wanted to use mail I received from fab.com, I am a lover of all typography and fell in love with this thanks sticker and quote that came in an order I received.

Don't be afraid to use items such as these as embellishments on your projects.  I think they add a current element from your life other than your photos.   If you are worried about them being archival safe, just don't place them on your photo(s) or add a clear overlay on top of it as a barrier.

I chose to add the sticker as a main anchoring element for my layout. I LOVE circles and built the remaining design around that element by adding more circle tags.   You may have notice that the sticker had a mark on it which is normal when using products like these on your projects.  They do not have to be perfect to use, put another element on top of the flaw and create on!  I added the second half of my title on the number 36 on top of the flaw.  I also cut down a portion of the card that I saved and used it as journaling as well. I thought it was a perfect statement to add as I plan to indulge in life in my 36th year.

shopevalicious products used: documented circle tags; fall quote bubbles; EZ mount craft scissors; washi strips from love you to piece journal kit

I hope you will try using everyday fragments of your life on your layouts just as you may do in your project life album. Thank you for stopping by and don't forget we've got a challenge going on right now...  Post your tutorial-inspired Evalicious creations in our shopEvalicious.com Flickr pool and link them up in the comments here for a chance to win some Evalicious product!  Deadline is Saturday, March 30th at midnight.  The winner will be announced on March 31st.

Vee, love this & how you've used the bits and pieces of "the good stuff" you've collected (and to look that good at 36? wowza! :) )
