Mini Tag Book | Inspiration

 

Hello and Good Morning Evalicious fans! Alissa here today with a fun little mini tag book I made. I always loved this one I made when I was on the team in 2012.

 

This year's version is a little bigger but very similar. This little mini  is super simple to make. Grab a large shipping tag and a bunch of single sided patter paper cut to size and you're ready to go!

 

Mist the front of the tag and stamp the back of the tag and all the papers with different Evalicious stamps to create a back ground pattern.

 

The paper coffee cup stamp was perfect for this min about an afternoon visit to a local coffee house with my mom and my niece.

 

 

I staples in the little photos and added a few stickers and wood veneer throughout the book. 

 

A little gold mist goes a long way to add loveliness, in my opinion. :)

 

 

 

Sew the book together with a little bit of floss. A simple stitch holds it all together. :)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And the back. The tie is a simple baker's twine looped on the top of the tag and the other half is staples to the bottom and then tied together to hold it all in.

Hello Maui 2015 | Inspiration

There's no doubt about it, we love Hawaii. Truthfully, it was a vacation that we really couldn't afford at the moment given that we made the commitment to a new home back in August last year. A deal came along with the Westin that we couldn't pass up and we used our Avion points for all three tickets so it saved us a bundle. So hello Hawaii it was! We left on February 28th and stayed for 12 nights total.

I came down with a stomach bug 3 days before we left which really sucked but having to stay home from work, gave me the time to prepare for my "album on the go". I find that if I want to document our trip, I have to do it while on the trip or else it will never get done (I really speak from experience here. heehee). There's always more important things to do when back in our daily lives. Don't you agree?

I used this time to pick out all my cards that I wanted to use and plan out each section which is basically one day of each trip. I find that this breakdown helps me to plan how many page protectors that I'll need. I didn't pre-pick out all my cards with my previous "albums on the go" - Disneyland & Mexico and Hawaii 2013. That wasted valuable vacation time where I could be doing other things. So if you have a few hours here and there before your trip date, plan out your album then all you'll do on the trip is 1) print your photos at the end of your day to tell your story. 2) paste your photos onto the cards. 3) add journaling. 4) add fun & cute stickers and stamped images.

I brought my Canon Selphy CP910 printer and a full pack of Color Ink Set. It was more than enough paper/ink for the trip. I lugged my Nikon D7000 with 35mm 1.8 lens which was fairly light weight. This camera/lens combination was great for timer shots of us since the lens isn't heavy at all, it was able to sit upright with only a flat surface - no tripod needed :)

I used some new goods that will be in our next shop update. The weekday banners stamp is one of the new products. Having a nice set of days of the week stamp is a must bring on any trip because of the way I break down my book or else the whole trip would just blend into one big day. I like to document what I did each day of the trip so that it's easier to jog my poor memory later.

Surprise! | Inspiration

Hello there! Today’s my turn, Rachel, to share with you my latest make using Evalicious's pretty products and the Cakewalk collection kit from October Afternoon.

I have been hoarding on this line from October Afternoon for at least one and a half year, and I finally made myself to break into this kit to create 2 mini albums for both my boys' birthdays which fall on the month of January. Our little boy, Dylan, turned 9 on the 19th, while Devan, the baby of our family, turned 6 on the 16th. :)

These mini albums were created to allow the boys to have some fun in putting in the photos taken during their birthday celebrations and free play with the stickers to create their very own layout pages. It's always good to involve the children in documenting our life, especially on important events such as birthdays and family trips. ;)

I had fun making these minis. And since I need to make a second set, I might as well do up a process video and share with you all just how easy it is to create an album with some papers, stickers, yarn/twine and embellishments. Oh, one thing I have to say, the Evalicious puffy stickers and alphas are so ideal for any projects! These pretty, little yet wonderful elements effortlessly give us the desired finishing touches.

tag mini book | tutorial

Hello, all! Alissa here today with a little mini book tutorial. And, when i say little, i mean little. this little guy is tiny and so cute.

Gather up your supplies. A shipping tag, a few patterned papers, some Evalicious label stamps, Evalicious tags and an Evalicious badge or 2.

I misted my tag with a gold mist and a chevron mask. Next cut the papers in rectangles (about the size of the tag) and use the label stamps to make a pattern on the white side of the paper.

I also sprinkled all the pages (on the stamped side) with gold mist. (I'm kind of addicted to the stuff)

Next you will want to stack up the papers and the tag and fold them down the center. Run a sting through the center of the fold to bind. I used a paper piercer and a need to help me with this step.

The rest is just the decorating. The FUN part.
