what's your name sweetheart?

"my mommy is My Chi, my doggy is Mylo & I'm Myelle"

We got her name while we were watching the Olympics and Maelle Ricker won the snowboard cross gold medal. Eddie & I both thought it was so fitting for our family of "My"s. We just had to change the spelling a bit. Her name is French (also perfect for her because she's part French) for princess. Oh, I love the name Elle too :) - Eddie says it also suits her cause she's also part Scandinavian.

Wall art is made of an 18"x 24" primed canvas, butterfly paper shapes traced from Scenic Route chipboard butterfly and cut out & rhinestones. The writing along the bottom of the canvas was done using a graphite pencil. I smudged her name a bit when I was putting the crown on her name - oops (handmade by mom).

Our little princess with her wall art :)

Thank you SO MUCH everyone for your congrats & well wishes. We're doing pretty good :)

congratulations. what an adventure kids are. they make life worthwhile. parenthood is the hardest job though (no training and no instructions really) but the most rewarding as well.

love the pom poms, the butterfly name art and the whole room.

That butterfly art made me rush out to the store and purchase a 15x30 canvas and start hand cutting butterflies... LOL! LOVE IT!

Congratulations on your beautiful daughter and being a Canadian too, I love the story behind her name. The butterfly canvas is so AMAZING and looks perfect in her room. You inspired me to try one. Thank you so much for the inspiration.
