Love You Lots | Inspiration

Hello All! Wendy here to share up some "pre-heart day" love for you!  Happy Valentine's (Eve), if there is such a thing, yes, let's bring some sweetness to the day!

I'm loving the page size of my Project Life ™7 1/4" x 8 1/4" in all sorts of ways these days.  You can see more of my projects in this size here and here.  I recently snapped these random pics last weekend of dear hubby and self as we were out and about one sunny + warm day.  Hey, we try to be the cool kids! Ha!

I wanted to keep my page clean with a punch of color, FUN, and full of LOVE, boom!

I used a badge button from Love You Lots V1 Badge Buttons as the perfect pop of dimension among some misted paint sprinkles on my layout.

I can't get enough of the puffy stickers!  I might confess to hoarding them because they are just that sacred.  Shhhh..... Then again, the mini star puffy stickers (Miscellany Shapes Puffy Stickers) were just the starry accent needed to the words used on my layout from "The Chaos of Stars".

Sending you hugs + kisses!  Enjoy the love day to the fullest!

I hope you enjoyed my project!

InstaFamily | Inspiration

Hello All!

Wendy here on this Friday!  'Snapping' up the week and 'clicking' for the weekend with a layout inspired by the camera stamps and camera puffy stickers by Evalicious.

I will admit the camera icons of Evalicious have always been a fav in my stash.  When I find a product I love, sometimes I hoard them big time as if they will no longer be in existence. Truth. Ha!

For this layout, I used a variety of camera images to play on my title, 'InstaFamily'.  I LOVE this photo with my fiancĂ© and the kiddos....it represents SO much...universal bonding, limitless connection, and pure love.  I went to visit them for the 'first time' meeting in Feb this year and it was amazinggggg!  Such adorable & handsome boys, yes.  It was our first photo together as a family besides the Skype interaction.  Good times captured here 'behind the lens'.

I chose a pattern paper of coordinating cameras and used it along with the perfect little Camera Love Puffy Stickers and Photo Op camera stamp.  I've said it before BUT how fun are those puffy stickers?!  I have a little addiction to them.

I chose to add a touch of mixed media love with Neocolors in green, white gesso + watercolors, and hand stitching.  Fun!

I used the Everyday SnipSnip label 'together' to type a touch of journaling.  Those labels are perfect for use with your vintage typewriters.  Instant journaling, done!

Then, I used a badge button from Hello 2014 V2 as a sweet finishing touch at the bottom of my layout.

Evalicious Product Used:
Badge Buttons | Hello 2014 V2 ('us')
Stickers | Camera Love Puffy Stickers ('123 cheese' arrow, mini cameras)
Stamps | Week in the Life Prompts ('this week' stamp), Photo Op (camera image), Fill in the Banner ('life')
Labels | Real Life SnipSnip ('currently life right now'), Love You Lots SnipSnip ('note'), Everyday SnipSnip ('together')

The full supply list is posted up over on my blog.

breathe with Laura

Hi there!

Laura here today with a new project to share!  I had so much fun creating this page, it turned out a little different than I had anticipated but I love it more this way.  Originally my idea was to lay the elements out in a more linear fashion, but I ran out of room (that always happens to me) so I clustered up my journaling tags a bit more and it feels much more me this way.

I started by choosing a colourful array of journalling tags and pulled other elements in from my stash in the same scheme.  I wanted to keep some of the elements quiet to have my story as the focal point, so I used vellum as well.

I stamped some journal tags with one of the the Label It stamps, and trimmed them all out with scissors.

I used labels from the Love you Lots Snipsnip sheet, and the Real Life Snipsnip sheet and added the details of the day in snippets on all of these tags.

Then I set about embellishing, using some of the Miscellany V1 and V2 puffy stickers... I just love these!  And some School's In V3 badge buttons, as well as some Vintage Maps flair, you can never go wrong with flair.

And let's not forget this darling clip!

Wanna know a secret?  I totally thought the background paper was polka dots until I was finished! ha! What a nut!  Anyway, I love the colours, so it stays.  Don't focus and pretend you see polka dots too!

Thanks for visiting!  And don't forget to check back often to see what the rest of the team is up to!

Meet Adrienne Alvis | Guest DT inspiration

My name is Adrienne Alvis and I live in a very small town in Southern Illinois (United States). My husband is a farmer and we live in the country with our three beautiful and spirited children. I have two boys (11 and 6 years) and one girl (4 years). My husband and I have been married for almost 8 years now and I'm lucky to be able to stay at home with my children and create.  I recently turned 31 on August 31st.  Other than scrapbooking, I like to run, ride my bike, read, snuggle with my kiddos, and take lots and lots of pictures of all of our everyday adventures.

I started scrapbooking about seven years ago and instantly fell in love!  At first, I only scrapbooked in my spare time as a hobby, but recently it has become a huge part of my everyday life.  I'm currently designing for Come On Get Crafty, Chic Tags, Lily Bee, Gossamer Blue, Scrapbook Circle, and Freckled Fawn.  You can find more of my work on my blog, Paper Fab, and on Instagram @adriennealvis.

Hello everyone!  I'm so excited to be guest designing here on the Evalicious blog this month!  Today I have my spread for Week 35 of my Project Life to share with you...

I've done a really good job of keeping up with this amazing project this year and haven't gotten behind yet.  I set aside a certain time every week just for doing my Project Life spreads.  This week was also a special one because I turned 31 on the 31st!

I used lots of goodies from the Escape collection on my spread, such as the 3x4 snipsnip labels, miscellany tags, and a few badge buttons...

I used two 3x4 photos of my boys on a bungee ride at our local fair, adhered them to a larger piece of card stock, and then sewed down the middle of them and through the "Look Here" Escape page tab so I could lift each side up and have a hidden journaling spot.

I stamped the large ampersat stamp onto a journaling card and then colored it in using some of my watercolor ink.

I also did the same to the "oh shoot" camera stamp below...

Supplies Used:  Escape Bundle, My Favorite Stamp Set, Ampersat and Ampersand Stamp Set, My Week snipsnip tags, Real Life snipsnip tags, Love You Lots snipsnip page tabs

I hope you enjoyed this little peek into my everyday life!  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Big thank you to Adrienne for being a guest DT on this little blog.

While I'm not sure if I'm heading down the route of another design team, I'm definitely wanting some fresh projects on this blog. So what I did was approach some ladies and see if they were interested in being a guest DT. Are you interested in being a guest DT member? Here's how I've been looking...sometimes I go through my previous DT application list (how I found Adrienne:)). Sometimes I go by referrals to my site (meaning I check my shop and see who has been referring guests to my shop - my way of saying thank you). Happy Monday!

Whole World | Inspiration

Hi guys, it's Natalie here to share with you a recent page I've made using my delicious Evalicious embellishments (try saying that 3 times fast!!!)

I can't get over how much older than her 3 years my daughter looks in this photo. On the other hand, I'm not so much digging how many chins this angle makes me appear to have. It's a little insight into the future for both of us probably ;-) Anyway, that's not the point! I'm here today to show you some of the ways I put my Evalicious supplies to good use.

Firstly, I'm all about the clustering. No floating embellishments here, it all has to be touching something. I've paired the Escape Miscellany Tags with the Documented Circle Tags because they're both round which seems to make sense, and then I've added dimension by popping an Escape V1 badge button on top too.

Secondly, I'm all about the layering. The more layers of paper I can fit behind my photo the better, in my opinion. Going from front to back I've got: my photo, a Love You Lots 3x4" Tag (with the banner cut out so it actually then sits in front of the photo), patterned paper, a Documented Label Tag, more patterned paper and lastly another Love You Lots 3x4" Tag.

And thirdly, no project is complete for me lately without some stamping. Stamping details can be added just for background noise like I've done here with the tiny hearts and 'a note' and 'evidence' etc etc. But you can also turn your stamped images into stand-out embellishments too like I've done with the eye-catching pink 'and so it goes'.

Evalicious Supplies:
Escape Miscellany Tags
Escape V1 Badge Buttons
Documented Circle Tags
Documented Label Tags
Love You Lots 3x4" Tags
And So It Goes stamp
Typewriter Love stamp set
Arrows and Words stamp set
You Make Me Smile stamp

I hope you've enjoyed my little journey into my creative process today. If you would like to share any of your Evalicious projects then we would love to see them posted in our Flikr gallery!

this is me mini | inspiration

hello, all and happy may!
today i've got more mini inspiration. this time my mini is inspired by a class i recently took online.  this on'e got more mini pockets, kind of like project life. i know a lot of us are doing project life, but if you're not, you aren't left out. there are plenty of mini books with divided page protectors out there to play with.

this is the opening page of the book. a lot of my usual layering. i LOVE shop evalicious products for layering. they are just perfect and oh, so fun to work with!

i like to attach the badges on the top of the page protectors. it keeps them from buckling from being too full. i am in love with eve's new stamp sets. they are so cool and so versatile. LOVE. :)

more layers. :) i love how a lot of the shop evalicious tags add a bit of their own layering without the bulk. it just adds to the overall layered look!

the back side of the front page. more layers and a homemade journal card featuring shop evalicious stamps!

this is the backside of the card on the front. another awesome way to save on the bulk in these divided page minis, or project life. :)

i love how eve's stamps emboss. LOVE! this stamp just makes me smile, too.

and, more layering with large tags and a page tab layered in flat under the edge of the photo.

so, if you don't want to take on the 12x12 version of project life or just want a new fun way to create a mini, either way shop evalicious products are the perfect match.

give divided pages a try. i KNOW you will love it!

i can't wait to see what you all create. please make sure you are sharing your projects in our Flickr gallery. here's a link for you.

have an awesome friday and spend some time scrapping this weekend.

layered "packs" | tutorial

hello and happy monday! monday means a new tutorial and i've got a simple one that gives you a little insight into my layout process. i don't make these layered packets every time, but they do happen often.

let's get started.
first, grab your supplies. i like to include glassine envelopes. notebook paper and scrapbook paper, ribbon or twine, evalicious tags, stamps and badges, washi tape, letter stickers and anything else that might layer quite nicely.

next grab your stapler. i use tim holtz's tiny attacher. the small size is perfect for the packs.

next, start layering up your stuff and staple in discrete locations or in places where you'd like the staples to be part of your embellishing.
this pack is the start of a birthday card. i also use foam adhesive to pop up some of the layers.

the start of another birthday card. (i've got a few parties to attend this week. ;) )

this one is the start of a layout. i just LOVE how evalicious products are perfect for layering!

once you have your stacks completed, you can just glue them to their bases and add a few small touches and you're ready to go!

the cards just need to be adhered to the bases.

the layout just needs a few extras to complete it.
i added a few embossed evalicious labels for the top border and some washi tape for the bottom border and layout is complete. easy, right? :)

now it's your turn. i challenge you to make a  few layered "packs" on your projects and see how fun and easy they are. we'd love to see all of your evalicious projects in our Flickr gallery here.

this christmas large tags (yes, one of those tags is a christmas one.)

I hope you have enjoyed this little tutorial and are inspired to give these little packs a try.

have a great day!

Reach for the Stars | Inspiration

When I sit down to scrap I usually start off with the story I want to tell. Next I pick some photos that will work to help tell that story. Having the photos decided helps me with the next stage which is all about choosing a colour scheme. Only then comes the fun part about picking papers, alphas, journal cards and embellishments.

So when I sat down (or rather stood) at my scrap desk on this occasion I had in mind that I wanted to share the story of my youngest daughters ideas on getting big. (Yes, I stand up to scrap... what do you do?) You see, she has it in her mind that she's not a 'big girl' until she's tall enough to touch the roof. It's a simple thing, but that's how she views the world right now. And that makes it significant enough for me to want to scrap it!

Once I chose some photos I drew my colour scheme straight from the shirt she's wearing - grey, pink and black. I added some red highlights and turned some of that grey into silver sparkles as well.

Turning to my Evalicious stash I was able to pick out some products that would work with the colour scheme. Like usual (for me) I knew I would need one of the journal cards to type all my journalling on and it would become quite a prominent feature on my layout, so I had to choose carefully. One of the cards from the Love You Lots 3x4 Tags was perfect.

Sticking with the Love You Lots collection I also chose some Snipsnip Page Tabs and Miscellany Tags to use as embellishments. The last thing I always add to my layouts is some stamped details. I think they give the page the right finishing touch. Here I used the Daily Note, Arrows and Words, and This is So You stamp with black ink to coordinate.

I would love to hear back from some of our followers though.... what's your process when you scrap? Do you start with a story like I do, or do you choose photos first? Or something else entirely?

selphy by hannah | Inspiration

Hello! Welcome to my first inspiration blog post since joining the Evalicious team! Today, I've got a layout featuring some of my favorite things in the shop. The new Love You Lots Badges  and Love You Lots 3x4 Tags. Now, I know those tags are perfect for Project Life and I am most certainly planning to use some of them in my Project Life. but, I just had to add them to this layout about my little niece taking self portraits and lots of photos in general.

I also used a few of my favorite stamps in the shop with gold embossing powder. These deep etched rubber stamps emboss like a dream.

I just love that This Is So You arrow stamp. So cute!
Just tuck in a few tags and a doily and add a little washi tape for a fun layered look.
