Greetings | Inspiration

Rona back again to share some simple, yet pretty, cards that are quick and easy to make with a few Evalicious goodies.  You might not know this, but the "Life's Sweet" line has quite a few pieces that are well suited to cardmaking.

I like to have a little stash of cards, and mine is really dwindling, so it's time to make a few! It seems such a waste to spend money on cards, when I'd much rather buy crafting supplies!

I started off with some blank cardstock that I cut in half to make 5.5" x 4.25" cards. I stamped the insides first using the "Addicted to You" clear stamp set. I like mixing fonts, so I was really happy with the results.

For the birthday cards, I picked some fun, happy paper, and layered a few sheets. On the first one, I also layered a 3x4 Life's Sweet Large Tags with some cork puffy alphas, plus a couple more puffy stickers for good measure. The second card is even more simple, with a wood veneer and a couple more puffy stickers.

I like the clean look. And the bonus is that it's quick!

For the thank you cards, I had just bought some pretty paper that I was itching to use. The reds and greys really coordinate perfectly with Eve's designs.

These two cards came together very easily. Again, the first was a PL card, layered with a wood veneer that had been blackened with a Copic marker. A little puffy heart topped it off. The last card is even more simple. But I like the elegant look.

As always, thanks for looking!

Rona

Are We There Yet? | Inspiration

Hello all!  Wendy here to share up a Spring Break vibe project for you this Friday.  As many in the States are gearing up for week long vacay (aka "Spring Break") to hit the beach (at least those coming to the Gulf Coast) and road trips, I thought appropriate to inspire with a travel card today.

So, let's pack up the flip flops, shorts, bikini, favorite snacks, and hit the beach!

I kept my card clean and simple.  I used a USA map stencil along with a fine tip Sharpie (non-bleed type) to fill in my stencil.  I added a puffy gold star sticker from Gold Misc Shapes Puffy Stickers.  Many of the puffy sticker collections from Evalicious have lots of colors in the stars to add a fun touch to mark your point of destination on a map.  Especially, I love the gold puffy stickers!  Gold is in and well, we all need a little gold in life. Ha!

In the corner of my card, I stamped 'road trip' from the Road Trip Clear Stamp Set.  Under the stamped wording, I added the classic phrase heard often on road trips.... "we there yet?" as found in the Itinerary V1 Puffy Stickers.

I hope you enjoyed my quick, fun, and simple card!

Safe travels!

xo, Wendy

Hello, My Friend | Inspiration

Hi, Rona here today sharing a card made using Evalicious puffy stickers and clear stamps.

Every year, I have a New Year's resolution that I will make all my cards. I mean, hey, I've got enough paper! But then, time gets away from me and I'm in a crunch so I rush out and buy them. So, this year, I'm working hard to keep my resolution.

The Evalicious Field Notes Clear Stamp Set is super cute and has great sentiments for both cards and Project Life. The little typewriter stamp has space on the paper image that was just begging for a little something, so I stamped in the "HELLO" from the "HELLO field NOTES" stamp. Here's how:

I added some clear embossing to the stamp, fussy cut it, and stuck it down with some dimensional foam to make it pop.

And here's a little secret.... I wanted to add some interest by adding one of the Field Notes Snipsnip Labels behind the typewriter, but it was too small. So (shhhh), I cut it in half before sticking down to typewriter. That's just between us, ok?

For the finishing touch, I added the "hello my friend" sentiment on the inside, and polished it off with a typewriter tab puffy sticker.

Thanks again for looking!

Rona

So Happy Together | Inspiration

Hi everyone! Rachel here to share with you a card I have made for my wedding anniversary which falls on the 17th of this month. Perhaps this little project could give you some inspirations in preparing a few Valentine cards? *Wink*

It is a tradition of me making cards for the husband, basically one for our wedding anniversary, and one for his birthday. This annual practice of mine started out way back to the day when we started dating (for 6 years), tied the knot in 2003 and now to celebrate our 12 years of marriage. Come to think of it, I have known this guy for a good 2 decades. I’m blessed.

This is a 5”x6” single-fold card. The main focus of this card is the balloon-shaped cut-out which I trimmed from a 3”x4” pattern card from Photo Shoot Large Tags, and hand stitched around the edge with a pink sewing thread to give that extra texture.

With the intention of not turning this card into one that is too pinkish for a guy, I picked a mint color pattern paper, added some dimensional texture with texture paste and a heart shape stencil, sprinkled some white and pink mist, popped up most of the heart shape cut-outs with 3D foam dots, lastly pasted down the balloon cut-out and the So Happy Together circle tag from Photo Shoot Round Tags.

To give that finishing touch, pretty puffy stickers, page tab and sequins are the PREFECT elements to have.

I hope he will love this card, and happy 12 to us!

Thank you for stopping by. J

Love,
Rach

Cards by Wendy Morris | Inspiration

Hello all!

Wendy here to share up my first batch of design team project(s) for Evalicious!

I'm SOOOO excited to design for Evalicious as I've been a LONG time fan since she rocked those felt shapes.  Yep, wayyyyy back. Ha!

You can find out more about me here.

But again, thanks Eve and so honored to be among the 'magic 4' to rock your product!

As my first round of projects, I decided to make a set of 3 cards.  I love making mini type cards and these are in 3"x4" size (when folded).  They are also the perfect size to slip into a 'Project Life' style album page protector too.

Let's get started...

"We Click"

For this card, I was inspired by the Photo Op Stamp Set simply because I'm a huge Canon fan and that camera had me at 'Canon'. Ha!  I used the large camera stamp as the center of the card. Then I used my vintage typewriter to type 'we click'.  As a finishing touch, I added two camera stickers from Camera Love Puffy Stickers.  Super love those puffy stickers!

"Oh Happy Day"

For this card, I wanted a dreamy effect and what better way than with watercolors.  I worked my watercolors first and allowed to dry completely.  I added the 'oh happy day' puffy sticker from Just Us Miscellany Puffy Stickers V1.  Then, some matching pearls to finish off my card.

"You & Me"

I knew I wanted to use the ampersand stamp from Ampersat & Ampersand Stamp Set.  I stamped the ampersand in the upper left corner.  Then, I used my vintage typewriter to add the words, 'you' and 'me'.  To add an embellishment, I used a label cut from Just Us SnipSnip Labels.  Such fun & versatile labels great for cards, project life, and layouts!

I added some little handrawn hearts in black and then some heat embossed hearts using red embossing power, Versamark ink and the heart stamp from Typewriter Love Stamp Set.  As a finishing touch, two wood veneer hearts.

I hope I inspired you today with my 3 cards!

The full supply list will be posted up later today over on my blog.

Matching Card and Tag for special gifts to special friends | Inspiration

Hello there,

I love to prepare special gifts for my beloved ones. And special gift also means for me special wrapping. So this week I am sharing with you a set of matching card and tag that will go with one of my gift to a good friend.

I wanted this set to be neutral, so I used a palette of brown to beige watercolors and embellishments. The collection So Daily is very versatile, so it's perfect to make things either for men and women.

For the card, I created a little banner with some snipsnip labels folded at different sizes.

And here is my tag made with 4 tags of differents sizes so that we can see all of them
when tied together.

Tag 1: white mist and stain and a cameo diecut on some old music score
Tag 2: old music score glued on a tag + gesso + watercolor,a page tab and label, wooden chipboards
Tag 3: glassine bag filled with a a smaller tag, golden sequins, and wooden star chipboards
Tag 4: moka ink spray, an Evalicious label cut in 2 pieces, white thread and a badge button!

 Evalicious supplies:

And don't forget about the big shop update tomorrow with some awesome stamps and an amazing new collection!
Have a lovely scrappy weekend.
