Meet Me In The Sunshine | Inspiration

20150620-IMG_5676_Evalicious_CN

Hello everyone!  Christine here with you today to show you a layout that I created about my friend’s visit.  I wanted to fit a lot of journaling about what we did while she was here, so I decided to layered circular punched out shapes on top of patterned papers and journal cards to write my journaling.

For each day, I used a date stamp and also the Days of The Week stamp set and stamped on top of a punched out file tab.

I layered some diecuts underneath the journaling circle.  I also round stickers from This Way and Life’s Sweet as embellishments.

I love adding wood veneer to a page to give it some different texture and dimension.

I used some stamps on the circle journal spots such as Good Eats stamps and Best Day Ever stamps

The geotag stamp from Destination stamp set is still one of my favorites!  I love using it to indicate where we were in our fun outings and travels.

Embellishments such as the camera love shape clips and the This Way Puffy Stickers V3 put the finishing touch onto the page.

Hope you enjoyed having a look at how I can fit lots of days and journaling onto a one-page layout!  Thanks for stopping by!

Magical | Inspiration

20150525-IMG_5609_Evalicious_CN

Hello there Evalicious fans!  Christine here today sharing a magical layout I created about my recent trip to Disneyland.  The trip had been planned for a long time, since last summer.  Four of us friends signed up to run the Tinker Bell 10K at Disneyland, so we made it a weekend event complete with running inside the park while it was empty in the morning, lots of good food, and lots of Disney rides!  Visiting Disneyland as an adult with other adult friends is actually quite an awesome experience.

I used a lot of goodies from the This Way collection.  The colors and travel theme in the collection was perfect for our visit to Disneyland.  I diecut the “magical” title using alphabet metal dies and some glitter foam.  The “destination” wood veneer from This Way Wood Veneer V1 was perfect as a banner between my two photos.  And the layout wouldn’t be complete without the gold star puffy stickers from Gold Misc Shapes Puffy Stickers.

I love the “happy memories” wood veneer from This Way Wood Veneer V2!  One of my favorite ways to dress up wood veneer is to color it with some Sharpie glitter paint pens.

I used a bunch of stamps from “Best Day Ever” stamp set and “Weekday Banner” stamp set to create a cluster of images in the bottom left of my layout.  I used ink colors that match the rest of my layout.

I always love to include circle elements on my layouts and the badge button from “This Way Badge Buttons” was perfect for this layout.

Fun with Pocket Letter | Inspiration

Hello! This is Rachel here with you today to share on a creative and fun project I recently embarked on. The Pocket Letter!

Some of you may have heard or came across this Pocket Letter thingy on the internet that had set a new wave of excitement in the crafting and pen palling world. Or you yourself are making Pocket Letters and had sent many off to your Pocket Letter Pals. Well hey, I completed my very FIRST Pocket Letter and I wanted to show you just what I had put together and allow me to say this, it was SOOO FUN!!

With a 9 pockets trading card protector, I filled each and every pocket with pretty papers and stuffs I wanted to send to my Pocket Letter Pal. Nice little things such as washi tapes, labels, sticky notes, paper clips and most importantly a handwritten letter to my Pocket Letter Pal and tucked it in one of the pocket. Let me take you through each pocket and show you all the yummy Evalicious goodies I had included for a lovely lady I got to know from the awesome planner community!

Top row (from left to right):
Left pocket - filled it up with a couple of Evalicious fun labels and clipped the pocket closed with a handmade faux leather paper clip.
Middle pocket - used a vellum as a base card and threw in a handful of sequins and confetti. I then sealed the pocket with washi tapes and clipped on a cute speech bubble.
Right pocket – filled it with printable, die-cuts and stamped images. Again I used a cute paper clip from Evalicious to close the pocket in order to prevent anything from falling out.

Middle row (from left to right):
Left pocket – tucked in some washi tape samples.
Middle pocket – it is the main card decorated with my letter pal’s name with Evalicious alphas and nice puffy stickers.
Right pocket – I hand drew an envelope which I clipped it down with Evalicious’s round arrow paper clip. This is the pocket where my letter was slotted in at the back.

Bottom row (from left to right):
Left pocket – filled it up with cute sticky notes.
Middle pocket – stuffed in a few Evalicious badge buttons and DIY-ed a paper clip with one of them. I included 2 little charms too.
Right pocket – this got to be my most favorite pocket out of the rest. I stamped a few images of the adorable bubble tea from Evalicious latest collection - Addicted To You stamp set on random stash of pattern papers and fussy cut them. One of the bubble tea images was pasted on to the base card and I add-on a touch of watercolour to spice it up. CUTE! The extra bubble tea cut-outs were tucked in to the pocket and I really hope that my lovely friend will find them useful.

After this first session of Pocket Letter making, I’m very sure I’ll create many more of them! As for this set of Pocket Letter, it was packed nicely and ready to fly across the big blue ocean to my sweet friend who’s on the other side of the globe!

I hope you enjoyed what I shared with you, and thank you so much for stopping by!

Love
Rach
