Project Life 2015 Week 7 & 8 | Inspiration

Hey there! This is Rachel here to share with you another 2 weeks of my Project Life progress. I totally love how well Evalicious products complimented my weeks after weeks of Project Life-ing!

As expected, I completed my 2 weeks worth of Project Life real quick and during this round of documenting progress, I used badge buttons from Field Notes v1 and boy I love the popup effect! These buttons beautifully added a 3 dimensional feel to the flat cards yet at the same time didn’t give too much weigh and thickness after I slotted them into the pockets. ;)

I’ll let the photos do the talking and I hope you like what you’re seeing here. *WINK*

Thanks for looking!

Love,
Rach

We Were Here | Inspiration

Hello all!  Wendy here and let's greet this month of March head on with some beachy, springy, sunshiny vibes, shall we?  In living about 40 min from the beach (hey, don't hate) and the serenity of the Gulf Coast, I am completely absorbed in the peace and calm of the ocean.  Honestly, I can say I've never experienced a 'true' winter (again, don't envy) but I do like to share up my Gulf Coast living around here.  I've probably taken a million seagull pictures but each one is so unique.  Something about seagulls (their sound is the best), pelicans (their beaks are a bit scary as one did snap at me once...ok, I digress) and the beach....well, all collective of 'easy living' to pause and reflect.

So, let's vacay together in my project today.

Somehow my husband spends more time at the beach than I do, I'm still working out that equation. Ha!  And I always joke with him that the seagulls and pelicans are his bodyguards and best friends.  They croak at me (and steal my sandwich, truth) and soar with open wings to him .  I don't get it!  We are both quite lovable but oh well....'we were here' together. Ha!

I love the Evalicious badge buttons.  The cool typewriter words in the Vintage Maps Badge Buttons are perfect for adding to the edge of your photos.  I also used Snip Snip page tabs  and Snip Snip Labels layered around my photos too.

It's fun to mix it up with stamping as layers around photos.  I used the 'fly away' stamp from the Fly Away Stamp Set.

I added some watercoloring and free form messy journaling as another layer on my project.

I hope you enjoyed our mini vacation (for a moment) together!

xo, Wendy

She {hearts} PSL | Inspiration

Hi... it's Rona, back again, with a quick (to me-- normally my pages take hours) layout based on a sketch from our very own Design Team's Laura! She does a lot of sketches for boys, but, being just sketches, they can be used for anything, and make for a great headstart when making up a page.

My inspiration for this page started when I saw the "Yum" in the Oh What Fun badge buttons I was using for my Christmas layouts.

And, then I saw the Yum wood veneer...

... and then the coffee cup stamp in the Wake Up Clear Stamp Set. I stamped this, and then embossed it with a little clear powder to make the black ink really vivid. It looks great layered with some puffy stickers and Snip Snip Page Tabs.

I cut out the middles of a couple of the instant photo style cards in the Photo Shoot Large Tags and layered them somewhat asymmetrically over the photos. I spent a lot of time trying to make it look quick and casual. ;)

One of the last things I did was to add the title in the middle... I outlined a really cute heart/banner sticker with white pen to make the "Hearts" part of the title.

Thanks to Laura for letting me use her sketch, and thanks again for looking!

Rona

WINTER WONDERS | INSPIRATION

Hi there!

Laura here today sharing this wintery page. I don't know about you, but I was sort of in denial about true winter actually arriving.  I sort of hoped that Mother Nature would be kind to me this year, but the frigid temps snapped me right out of my denial! It does give you the opportunity and mojo to get those winter pages scrapped, though.

I played with some more of the great "Oh What Fun" goodies - the last time I played with them, I separated them into what was Christmas-y and what was more wintery, knowing that I would want to use them for a couple of pages.

I kept my page pretty linear with a slightly off centre focal point and used a zipper as a fun masculine accent.  I added some ink and mist to the background and then I got busy adding a plethora of Evalicious goodness.

LOVE those puffy sticker alphas, and they stick great!

I cannot get enough of the new wood veneer and I have always been a fan of the badge buttons (flair). I also had some fun adding some stamping onto my background, I seem to be stamping more and more on my pages and love the extra level it adds to them.

Fantastic puffy stickers and page tabs...

... in such great colours!

And the camera clip is pretty fantastic too, I like the way the metal clip and zipper play off of each other.
